Well hello there dearest people who read my articles, somehow I find myself here again. As usual it’s been forever since the last article but it’s a routine by now so let’s skip the apologies.
Today’s article will be on a rather popular visual novel that generated quite the fan base in the recent years so you might have already heard of it. It is a free work by Four Leaf Studios titled ‘Katawa Shoujo’, which more or less translates to ‘Disability Girls’.

Well this was supposed to be up many moons ago but I thought introducing Vocaloid first would be a wise move.
Though I got lazy after that article and hence this being here now.
Will be a rather short article considering the time and I need to wake up by a certain time tomorrow.
So lets being shall we.

Katanagatari

One of my favourite animes, Katanagatari is an excellent demonstration of how to do a Shonen anime right – just enough plot while still keeping the action scenes brief and exciting. Features Samurais, Katanas, and Ninjas!

GriefSyndrome is a doujin beat-em-up game that was recently released at C80. It features the cast of Puella Magi Madoka Magica as playable characters, and can be played with 3 players at once!
Neon Genesis Evangelion(Original)..Or rather great fan made sequels to it.

So I suspect that I am the last person to have read these but just in case there’s someone else…So here we go.
Alright not much to talk about this time so just a few things.
Firstly both works are supposed to be a sequel to the original Anime and End of Evangelion, not the four movie remake Rebirth of Evangelion.
Secondly one of them contains H and hence is NSFW. There’s a SFW version out there but well I’m too lazy to find it.
And lastly, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED EVANGELION AND DOES NOT WANT TO BE EXPOSED TO SPOILERS. Read the rest of this entry »

Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo – The Sunflower Girls of the Wheel Country
Posted by EternalScarlet on June 23rd, 2011 at 6:33 AMTags: , Gaming, Japan, Visual Novel Category: Review

Summer comes, it gets hotter, it rains a bit, the fields are lush, the wind carries in the scent of greenery, I have a friend like Ken-chan with me... Nothing changes, but I'm happy with the way things are.
Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo is an eroge without branched out routes. Made by AKABEiSOFT2 as well, It is the predecessor of G-Senjou no Maou.
Shuffle! – A horribly horrid Eroge by Navel + something for you to read for half an hour.

^Middle to right, they are going to kill you.
Firstly. Don’t ready your Witch hunting fire arrows yet. Today I’m here to recommend to you a really horrible VN. You would have probably heard of it already as an anime so if you liked it, read on. I liked the anime too. (Or did I…)
don’t take it personally, babe, it just ain’t your story

Usually I prefer to leave visual novels to Scarlet, but this turned out to be fairly interesting. Perhaps the most interesting thing about it would be its place of origin – it’s a free visual novel developed by Christine Love, who lives in Canada. Needless to say, it’s rare that we see visual novels coming from the western hemisphere, and no one usually expects anything much from Western visual novels. However, this was actually a fairly deep and intriguing novel, with lots of love at its heart.
