They don't deal much damage but it starts to add up. After that, take note of when he casts a spell that creates a massive circle around him. When he does that, he starts restore really high amounts of life. Lure him out of it as best you can, then keep fighting him. The strategy my friend and I have used is use Patchy/Shana. Send in Shana's summon to fight him and make him blow the spells. Then have Patch run in and use Silent Selene, which should deal absurd damage if you've been increasing her intelligence. A couple of these are enough to finish him off, though using it on him can crash the game if you do too much at once (eg-Someone else using their ultimate at the same time as you using yours, and the boss using his spell).
